Vincent’s “Actor Out Of Work” pre-save it here and watch an IG vid of “Teenage Dirtbag” below. The Covers EP will also feature versions of Melissa Etheridge’s “I’m The Only One” and St. Listen below, and pay attention for a clever lyrical swap (“juul” for “gun”) as well as Koch’s cameo handling the “I got two tickets to Iron Maiden” grand finale lyric.
#What wheatus album is teenage dirtbag on movie
This album contained the band’s first, and so far biggest, hit, Teenage Dirtbag (from the movie Loser). But the belt-it-out refrain lends itself particularly well to the emotive delivery of singer-guitarist Miri Devora and the soaring vocal harmonies that are QoJ’s signature. In 1999 the band signed with Columbia Records and released their debut album, Wheatus, the following year. The late 90s emo / pop nugget is a classic and a tough song to play a bad version of, whether you’re Ruston Kelly, Phoebe Bridgers, or Chelsea Mitchell. The band announced it today by sharing a stellar rendition of Wheatus’ “Teenage Dirtbag” featuring Gladie’s Augusta Koch on vocals. Philly indie pop faves Queen of Jeans are readying their first new releases since 2019’s stellar LP If You’re Not Afraid I’m Not Afraid, and first up is a covers EP - called, simply, Covers. Overall I like this song, and it'll still be with us for ages and ages, but its music video is neither good nor bad, and so it's difficult to comment on and there doesn't seem to be a lot going on compared to many other music videos.Queen of Jeans | photo by Avi Warren for WXPN I like the references to Iron Maiden, but there's not much else to comment on. Apart from when she sings the bridge bit "I got two tickets to Iron Maiden baby". There really isn't a lot going on, I can't say I like this bit because there isn't a bit that clearly stands out. The backdrop film is actually "Loser" which both the actors appeared in. I like the fact that actors star in this music video, and it is pretty similar to American Pie so I can understand why people get the misconception. I am a little surprised that the music video blanks out some words but doesn't blank out others, especially since young people could be watching a video like this.

I like the fact that the band is a part of the music video as performance wise and plays a small part in the narrative, which is quite clever. His hard-luck hero dreams of cranking Iron Maiden with Noel, the unattainable hottie from gym class. Brown distills with salty sweetness the simultaneous adolescent head trips of falling in love with a band and falling hard for a crush.

I like the storyline although I do think it looks more dreamlike than anything else. In the 2000 hit 'Teenage Dirtbag,' Wheatus Brendan B. And the music video has Jason Biggs and Mena Suvari, both of which appear in American Pie, which is where people get the misconception that this song is a soundtrack to the films, but the song doesn't even appear on the soundtrack.

The music video is very interesting, it contains a narrative and a performance. Apparently, they are still going and the line-up has changed, but I very much doubt they'll ever release another song as good as this one! Their other singles that they released didn't perform as well on the chart, and soon enough they were unheard of. It was released in 2000 and it was Wheatus' first single. This is the band's only hit so far, and it's definitely their signature song. This song has to go down in history as one of the rock greats.
